We offer our most humble salutations at the Sacred Lotus Feet of Bhagavan Baba and submit the report for the said period as follows:
- Seva at Prasanthinilayam
With the immense Grace of Bhagavan Baba, the youth of Himachal Pradesh has the golden opportunity to serve at the Sacred Lotus Feet of Bhagavan Baba for 16 days from 15th.July to 31st.July, 2007. Three thousand devotees came forward from different parts of Himachal Pradesh to avail of this golden opportunity. Out of such huge number, 1,000 boys and 600 Mahillas were within the age group of 18 to 35 years. They were all beaming with delight and working smiling throughout the period. Several thousand devotees had come from India and all over the world for the Birthday festival and the International Youth Conference. Seva Dal members were blessed to serve them all.

- Youth Pilgrimage to Prasanthinilayam
Since the year 1972 the state of Himachal Pradesh has been bringing youth for Divine Darshan of Bhagavan Baba in groups of hundreds within a period of every two months. This time the "Youth Pilgrimage to Prasanthinilayam" was organized between 2nd.August to 6th.August, 2007. With the Divine Grace of Bhagavan Baba, 630 young boys had the opportunity to attend it. They were all blessed by Bhagavan Baba. They got the golden opportunity to present the cultural program at the Sacred Lotus Feet on 5th.August, 20007. Bhagavan Baba was compassionate to witness the staging of Bhangra, Kwalis and devotional songs sung by the youth of Himachal Pradesh. They got the chance to get themselves photographed with Bhagavan Baba. He also showered, a special Blessing on some participants by materializing Divine Creations. All were suffused with ecstasy and Bliss and are still experiencing it, contemplating on it and putting the Sai Ideals into day to day practice.
On every day lectures and discussions were held from 10.00A.M. to 12.00 noon and in the evening from 8.00P.M. to 9.30 P.M. The men of International repute such Sri K. Chakravarthi IAS, Secretary, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Mr. Anil Gokak IAS, Vice Chancellor, Sri Sathya Sai University and Prof. Anil Kumar, Dr. Rangarajan, Dr. Deepak Anand from Sri Sathya Sai University took active part in the deliberations with the delegates of the Conference. Other men of eminence who took part in deliberations were Lt. General M.L. Chhiber and Mr. M.K. Kaw, IAS former Secretary Education to the Govt. of India. The presence of every one was highly appreciated and gave true enthusiasm to all the participants.
- Tree plantation
Three different Samithis in different districts such as Mandi, Chamba, and Nahan had undertaken the celebration of Van Mahotsav festival in the third week of August from 18th.August to 21st.August, 2007. They had planted 340 saplings. The follow up program to look after the safety and security of saplings till they become self dependent is continually undertaken.
- Free Coaching Classes
Nahan Samithi of Sirmaur District is an exemplary one by organizing free tutorial classes every year both for college and school children, in the subject of English. At present 82 students are taking benefit of these classes and always express gratitude to Bhagavan Baba by their participation in different activities.
- Village adoption program
Every Samithi has undertaken some of the villages around their vicinity. An integrated development is planned and undertaken in all these villages. Bal Vikas classes are organized and the medical facilities are provided in every village complex. A village complex constitutes from five to seven villages. Thus the population of two to three thousand people is benefited by each activity undertaken during the visit of the youth to these places. The Glory of Bhagavan is presented before the people through lectures and Film shows. This depicts them the life and various activities undertaken by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust under the Divine Guidance and benediction of Bhagavan Baba. People are richly benefited by the Divine manifestation of Bhagavan Baba that are taking place at many places in the different villages of Himachal Pradesh and all over the world. Such fourteen villages complexes has been under taken in Himachal Pradesh during the period under report, thereby
covering 84 villages and benefiting the approximate population of 30,000 people of the rural areas within the state.
- Medical Activities
This is one of the major activity in Himachal Pradesh which gives joy and thrill to the serving and the served. 15 medical camps have been organized during this period under report.
A medical Camp was organized at Nagrota suriyan on 21th.Oct. on the day of Vijay Dashmi. 15 doctors from the Medical College and regional Hospital, Dharamshala had participated in it. They were belonging to the different fields of specializations such as heart, kidney, eyes, pediatrics, ENT, and the doctors specialization in general medicines. 1860 patients from 15 villages were benefited. Similiarly, medical camps were organized at Baddi, Gaura, Majra, Maranda, Deha, Shah-talai, Pummar etcetera. More than 20,000 patients were benefited. Bhajans were held during the medical camps. All the patients were provided food and free medicines as per the medical prescriptions.
- Veterinary Services
Five Veterinary Camps were held during the period under report. Villages like Rajot, Palewar, Dehra, Santoshgarh, Dari were covered in the months of August, September, and October. The animals were properly checked and medicated. The doctors visited the individual's houses to set up an ideal example of selfless service and their concern for the animals of each and every home. the whole and adjoining villages. The follow up program was also undertaken to see that the proper care of the animals is maintained.
- Eye Camps
An eye camp was held at Dehra on 20th.October. 850 patients were checked out of which 209 were operated and were provided free lenses and glasses. All the patients were provided with food and any other assistance needed by them.
- General Health Check up
In the month of September the general health check up programs were organized by the youth of the respective areas for the Bal Vikas and Primary School Children at Shimla, Ghumarvi and Thural. The children were suggested the precautions to be undertaken for maintaining the good and robust health. They were also provided with the medicines where ever it was necessary.
- Hospital Visits
The youth of Shimla, Solan, Una, Mehre, Dharamshala, Mandi, Palampur, Maranda and Poanta Sahib pay a regular visit to the Hospital once in a month on Sunday as fixed by the concerned Samithis. Vibhuti and fruits are distributed to the patients. Other necessary care of the patients is also looked after.
The Mahilla Vibhag of Shimla Seva Samithi visits the cancer Hospital every Saturday and looks after their welfare of the patients. Give them Vibhuti and pray to Bhagavan for their speedy recovery.
On the day of Independence 300 participants with youth did a march on the Mall Road for the World Peace. They were dressed up as freedom fighters. It was silent march with candles and banners carrying the teachings of Bhagavan Baba.
- Tuberculosis Screening
Tuberculosis Screening was undertaken in the thirty poor children of slum area below the age of ten. The children were examined under Montoux test and four of them were found with positive tests. They have been put on free medical treatment.
- Bhajan Training Program
Three Bhajan Training Programs were organized for the youth at Indora, Dharamshala and Maranda. 500 youth from the respective Samithis attended it. They were all filled with joy and taking it further to their friends and family members.
- Blood Donation Camp
With the Divine Grace of Bhagavan Baba, the blood donation camps were held throughout the state on 16th. September, 2007. At every place the youth came forward with cheer. 390 young devotees donated the blood. At all the places the Bhajans were being sung, thus suffusing the blood with spirituality.
In addition to it on the request of Hospital authorities a blood donation camp was organized on 1st.July at Indora. 89 young boys donated the blood.
- Visits to Jails
The regular visits are paid to jails at Shimla, Una and Nahan on every second Saturday. In Shimla the youth meets the prisoners of the open jail. The Bhajans are sung with them. The stories of the Mahimas of Bhagavan are narrated at all the places. The films are screened on the Life and Message of Bhagavan Baba very often. The prisoners have made the temple of Bhagavan in their respective prison place sand regularly sing Bhajans..
- Assistant to injured people
On 1st.November, 2007 a bus carrying the passengers fell down the hill near Kandhaghat in Solan District. Many passengers were dead. The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital by the Sai Youth. The Civil Hospital was provided with management assistance. All help needed was both rendered to the patients and the Hospital staff.
- Visit to the Homes of need and necessity
Several destitute Homes such Deaf, Dumb and blind Home for children, Orphanage Home, Destitute Home for women are visited regularly by Shimla Mahilla Vibhag. The inmates of different Ashrams are properly looked after during our visit to the concerned Ashram. Bhajans are sung. Stories that inspire them are narrated. Their necessities of the day to day life are also met with.
In Nahan it is "Aastha" where the people of social necessity are made to stay. Our young members' visit it twice a month, giving them joy and thrill by singing Bhajans and distributing fruits. The other essentials are also provided as per their need and necessity such as rice, wheat etcetera.
At Solan, new utensils were given in the first week of August and all the material required for the kitchen.
- Akhand Bhajan of 82 hours
With the Divine Grace of Bhagavan Baba, an 82 hour Akhand Bhajan was organized at Shimla from 29th.September to 2nd.October, 2007. All the devotees from Himachal Pradesh, especially the youth participated in Akhand Bhajan with all devotion and love. They continually sat for hours together and sang the Bhajans with full thrill. The hills echoed with their devotion.
- Exhibition:
the exhibition on the Life and Message of Bhagavan Baba were organized in the month of October at Hamirpur and Peo. Several thousands people from the neighboring places came to see it. At Peo, the Divinity manifested itself at the very stat of the exhibition. Vibhuti started oozing from the Divine photograph. The tears trickled down from the eyes of all devotees. Several hundred people from the remote villages of the tribal area came to see the Divine Mahima.
We offer our most humble gratitude at the Sacred Lotus Feet of Bhagavan Baba for His compassion, love and mercy showered on us all the time during each and every activity. We pray! May we continue to go ahead like that!
