Ahmedabad District
  • On 29th Jul '07 - Gurupurnima a Medical Camp and Dental Camp was arranged in adopted village Charal. 127 patients were given medicines and 35 dental patients were examined by the dentist. Anti mosquito fogging machine was used to spray the anti mosquito fog in each house of the village. Balvikas class was conducted. In the whole seva 17 youth and 5 doctors provided their services. Posters were fixed in the schools for the awareness of Gutaka in the village.7 old-poor ladies were given a food kit of 3 kg rice,1 kg dal,1 ltr oil and 5 kg aata.

  • On 12th Aug '07 Past Balvikas student's conference was arranged and appx 26 youth boys and 10 youth girls attended it. These students were encouraged by different speakers to become active sevadal in organisation. Posters and photographs of previous cultural programme in which these students have participated where exhibited in the hall.

  • On 26th Aug '07 Gram Seva was arranged at adopted village Charal. Door to door survey was carried out and swami's calendars were distributed. Survey for actual no of cattle's in the village was also carried out as a preparation of proposed cattle camp. 8 Youth participated in the activity.

  • On 26th August Blood Donation camp was arranged at Sardarnagar. 141 units of Blood were collected. The figure was highest at Sardarnagar till date. 10 youth participated in the camp. Another camp was organised at Maninagar on the same day where 35 Units of blood were collected. 4 youth participated in the camp.

  • The Samithi decided to conduct 82 hours Bhajans in 82 days (i.e. one hour in each house) at the devotees' house located in various parts of the city. At the same place Narayan seva is also carried out. Thus daily one Narayan Seva is carried out in different parts of the Ahmedabad City. Fresh-Hot food is served. Sai Youth are participating actively in the activity. The activity shall continue till 23rd Nov 2007.

Navsari District
In Aug '07 Navsari Samithi arranged a Medical camp at adopted vileage Bhunvadi. Appx. 125 villagers were examined. 2 doctors and 9 Sai Youth along with 18 Senior devotees served in the camp.

In Aug '07 Navsari Sai Youth carried out Narayan Seva at 5 places in the city as it was a Shravan month. In each Narayanseva appx. 100 people were served Puri,Bhaji, Rice, Dal & Sweet. Further on every Monday Street Bhajans were arranged in various streets in the city. Appx. 800 people attended the same.

On 9th Sep '07 Navsari Sai Youth arranged Youth Motivation and Personality Development Seminar for the college students. Appx. 1000 students participated in the program. State President of SSSSO Gujarat also attended the program. He also visited the adopted village Bhunvadi and unveiled the Sign Board posted at entrance of the village.

On 16th Sep '07 "World Blood Donation Day " was celebrated with the arrangement of Blood Donation Camp at the Centre of Samithi. 47 units of blood were collected.

On 23rd Sep '07 Mega Eye camp was arranged at Navsari Samithi Centre . Appx. 535 patients were examined, out of which 165 patients were identified for Cataract surgery. As per the availability of the doctor these patients shall be operated on priority basis at free of cost. Navsari youth regularly arranges Eye Check camp in the interior villages. Atleast 2 Doctors, 8 Sai Youth and 10 senior devotees serves in the camps and more than 100 patients are examined in a month. This activity is being conducted for last 11 years. More than 12000 patients have been examined and 3600 patients have been operated for Cataract so far.

Rajkot District
On 8th Jul '07, Medical Camp was arranged in Jiyana Village and 95 patients were examined and given medicines. Narayan Seva was undertaken by distributing the packets of Biscuits to 54 children in the village. 9 Sai Youth sevadals served in the camp.

On 22nd Jul '07, 5 Sai Youth Sevadals numbered 25 houses in the adopted village Vankvad having 125 houses appx. As a part of the Gram Seva project each and every has been surveyed and numbered for proper identification. They also pasted stickers of Morning Sloka and Sloka to be chanted before meal in each and every house so that villagers need not remember it and can easily chant the same regularly. Sai youth shared the importance of the chanting of Slokas and motivated the villagers to chant the same on a daily basis in the morning and before taking their meal.

On 29th Jul '07, Gurupurnima was celebrated with sharing of joy and happiness. In the morning Nagar Sankirtanam was arranged at Sri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital, Rajkot. Appx. 21 devotees attended it. At 9 am Paduka Pujan was performed at the same place. After that 36 Sai Youth went to the adopted village Vankvad and carried out Narayan Seva by distributing Packets of Khichdi (mixture of uncooked Rice and Dal), Biscuits, Chocolates, Bundi Ladoo, Ganthiya, Fruits, Sweet Rice, Clothes, Photographs of Bhagwan, Lunch Box and Compass Box to children etc. door to door.

On 1st Aug '07, and 26th Aug '07, 6 Sai youth carried out cleaning activities at Sri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital, Rajkot. The cleaning activity is done regularly two times in a month. Sai Youth also interact with patients in the hospital, share their sorrows and pray for betterment of their health.

On 5th Aug '07, Medical Camp was arranged at adopted village Vankvad. 99 patients were examined and given medicines. Simultaneously Bal Vikas session was also undertaken where 42 village children participated. Sai Youth also numbered 54 houses as a part of the Gram Seva Project. 10 Sai Youth along with 3 senior devotees actively worked in the Gram Seva.

On 12th Aug '07, Narayan Seva was carried out in the flood affected slum areas on Ahmedabad Highway Nr. Kuvadva village in Rajkot District. 9 Sai Youth along with 5 Senior devotees distributed 119 packets of Khichdi (mixture of uncooked Rice and Dal), 223 packets of Sugar, 150 packets of Tea, 250 packets of Biscuits, 300 packets of potato wafers and clothes.

On 2nd Sep '07, Medical Camp was arranged at adopted village Vankvad. 73 patients were examined and given medicines. Simultaneously Balvikas session was undertaken where 17 children participated. 3 Sai Youth along with senior devotees participated in the Gram Seva.

On 9th Sep '07, Narayan Seva was carried out in the adopted village Vankvad by distributing packets of biscuits to 45 children.

On 16th Sep '07, "World Blood Donation Day" was celebrated by arranging as Blood Donation camp in Sri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital, Rajkot. Total 38 units of blood were collected. 15 Sai Youth along with senior devotees actively participated in the seva.

On 23rd Sep '07, as a part of the Gram Seva project 11 Sai youth went to adopted village Jiyana and installed 2 Toilets in 2 houses of village. They have planned to provide toilets facilities in all the houses of the village gradually.

A Sai Youth Bal Vikas Guru is presently undertakes Balvikas class in the Rajkot City on every Sunday regularly.

Valsad District
On 29th Jul '07 Gurupurnima, due to heavy monsoon villagers of adopted village Paikhad got affected with Diaria, Cough, Vomiting and Fever. However as there was no medical facilities available villagers were helpless. As soon as the message of the situation was received 9 Sai Youth of Valsad Samithi along with 3 senior devotees rushed to the village with 2 doctors though it was raining. The Paikhad village is situated 100 km away from the Valsad city in the interior area. Sai Youth arranged Medical Camp and 162 patients were examined and immediate treatment was provided. Two ladies affected with gynecological disease were found in serious condition. Sai Youth brought them to Valsad city and admitted them in the hospital for further treatment. Doctor undertook the surgery and both the ladies were saved with the divine grace of Swami. After getting recovered Sai Youth dropped them back to Paikhad village safely and happily.

On the same day Paduka Pujan was arranged as a part of Gurupurnima celebration. More than 100 devotees attended the program. Three Tricyles were distributed to handicaps. 9 Sai Youth brothers and 9 Sai Youth sisters participated in the program.

On 23rd Sep '07, 3 Sai Youth brothers and 6 Sai Youth sisters visited the adopted village Paikhad. Villagers were counseled to attend "Parthi Yatra". Sai Youth sisters imparted training on tailoring to village ladies. A Balvikas session was conducted for children by sharing value based stories, singing songs, Namsmaran and undertaking Meditation session. Biscuit Packets were distributed.

Bharuch District
During Jul to Sep '07 in adopted village Nikoli 3 times Gram Seva were undertaken by arranging Medical Camps where total 76 patients were given medicines and undertaking Balvikas sessions on spiritual and educational aspects with the average attendance 19 children.

On 15th Jul '07 State Youth Conference was organised by Gandhinagar Samithi at Zulelal Mandir, Sector - 30, Gandhinagar. State President inaugurated the State Youth Conference with lighting of lamp. Two eminent speakers 1) Ms. Azmeen Kazad, State Youth Coordinator (Ladies), Maharastra and 2) Dr. Vivek Itankar, District Youth Convener, Nagpur District were invited. More than 850 persons including 700 youth from all the Districts of Gujarat attended the conference. The theme of the conference was "Gram Seva is Ram Seva".

Ms. Azmeen Kazad shared her views on Importance of Role of Youth Girls in Sai Youth Activities. Dr. Vivek Itankar shared various teachings of Bhagwan by quoting small examples. Group Discussion sessions were undertaken in 5 groups. Mass of Sai Youth brothers were divided in three groups to discuss various aspects of Gram Seva. One group was formed for training on Veda Chanting and a separate group of Sai Youth sisters was formed to discuss on various Sai Youth Activities including Gram Seva Activities. Leaders of all the groups shared the important points of the discussion.

At the end Sh. Manohar G Trikannad, State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Gujarat addressed the mass. He motivated youth to undertake Sai Youth activities and especially Gram Seva activities based on the divine guidance of Bhagwan. The Conference was ended with the Aarti.

On 15th Jul '07 one Computer was presented to Sarpanch of the adopted village Kantharpura.

On 29th Jul '07 Gurupurnima was celebrated with the Paduka Pujan by the Sai Youth and Balvikas students along with the senior devotees.
On 5th Aug '07 a Medical Camp was undertaken by 4 Sai Youth and 45 patients were given medicines.

On 19th Aug '07, 2 Sai Youth visited adopted village Kantharpura and convened Gram Sabha of Young villagers where 10 villagers participated. Their employment issues were discussed and were motivated to utilize leisure time for vocational training. All the youth were counseled to attend the Parthi Yatra scheduled on 1st to 3rd Oct '07.

On 14th Sep '07 a Balvikas Centre was inaugurated in Sector - 7, Gandhinagar. A Sai Youth sister had started Balvikas centre in Sector 23 on Bhagwan's birthday on 23.11.06 and a second Balvikas centre was started now. Total 35 students are attending the Balvikas classes.

On 16th Sep '07 renowned Research Scientist of Agriculture University and the then Director Land Use Board, Revenue Dept. Govt. of Gujarat Dr. Malaviya along with Sai Youth visited the adopted village Kantharpura. Gram Sabha was convened and various agriculture issues were discussed with the villagers. Dr. Malaviya stressed the need for immediate repayment of outstanding loans to the bank for availing further loans. He called for better marketing of the produce and need for change in cropping pattern.

Sai Youth regularly attend the Nagarsankirtanam. During last quarter 14 Nagarsankirtanam were arranged.

Sai youth arranged 2 Bhajans in Aug '07 and Sep '07 and 5 Balvikas classes in Jul '07 in the adopted village Anandpura.

Sai Youth regularly undertakes Narayanseva on Sundays in the Kalol city where on an average 100 - 150 poor people are served cooked food. In the last quarter 14 Narayanseva were undertaken.

In Jul '07 Sai Youth visited Hospital and prayed for betterment of health of the patients.
