Youth Activities Report
  1. A State level Youth meet was held in the immediate Divine presence of Bhagwan Baba on 27th and 28th May' 2006.
  2. Our Youths under the technology development project have installed solar Lamps in most backward villages of Gulbarga & North Kanara Districts.
  3. Grama Seva continued to be main Activity and held in all Districts. We are covering more and more villages under "Maue Maue Sai Nama" (House to House Sai Nama)
  4. Drinking Water was provided to thirsty commuters at central Bus Stations during summer Months of March April and May. This activity has been conducted in about 9 Districts of Karnataka
  5. Veterinary camps were conducted in many Districts, Bangalore rural District youths have started this activity.
  6. Bangalore City Mahila Youths continue Bhajans & Narayana Seva in orphanages. Mentally challenged Homes Remand Homes etc ,every month.
State Level Youth Meet - Yuva Vamdana - 2006

In His infinite compassion, Bhagawan Baba graciously permitted holding of a state level Youth Meet in His immediate divine presence at "Brindavan" on 27th and 28th May 2006.

2250 Sai Youths and 400 Balvikas Gurus with other office bearers attended the meet. They arrived at Brindavan by 26th evening from all parts of the state. Elaborate arrangement for their food, accommodation and transport had been arranged. In addition, 1000 village school children drawn from various villages (where a number of service activities are conducted) also attended the function. Every village boy dressed in a white pant and shirt and every village girl in a white salwar kameej. specially stitched and blessed by Swamy earlier, were a sight to watch. Children were so very happy.

Bhagawan Baba was accorded ceremonial welcome with Veda chanting. Nada swaram, Chande, Keelu Kudure and Dollu Kunita folk dances from different districts. Bhajans were sung by Sai Youths drawn from different districts.

Bhagawan Baba arrived on the stage and inaugurated Yuva Vandana - 2006 by switching on the button and a huge lotus erected on the stage bloomed and all the huge photographs of Bhagawan Baba on the stage illumined brightly. Swamy gave lot of joy to school children and Sai Youth by moving amidst them, giving Darshan, sparshan and sambhashan.

Swamy permitted to start the programme with a Theme song and welcome song written by Shri Kasturiji and four little girls dancing. As a blessing and Prasadam of Bhagawan Baba, school kits containing school bags, Note books, Geometry box, pens & Swamy's laminated photograph were distributed to all the 1000 children. This was followed by music programme by Shri Shankar Shanubogue and party and Smt. Smita Bellur and party. They gave a very scintillating performance singing compositions of Purandara Dasa, Meera and Basaveshwara. With Maha mangalarathi and prasadam distribution, morning programme concluded.

Afternoon function started with Bhahans on Bhagawan Baba's arrival. Programme started with introductory talk by Shri Nagesh G. Dhakappa, State President and two youths were introduced. Kumari Shivaleela from Dharwar and Shri. Vinay Kumar from Bangalore spoke about youth activities and their experience as also the transformatuion that has come about, amongst the youths. Bhagawan Baba blessed the gathering with divine discourse followed by maha mangalarathi. Immediately thereafter, sai youths from Mysore enacted a play entitled "Ekalavya". All the youths participating in the drama are students studying in Medical College at Mysore were old students of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions. Bhagawan Baba expressed immense happiness at the performance and created " Navaratna Ring" for Shri Kishen Bhagwat who enacted the role of Ekalavya.

On Sunday, 28th May' 2006, Bhajans were held by members of "Sai Gitanjali, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Kshetra" J.P. Nagar, Bangalore followed by Narayana Seva and vastra dana by Bangalore mahila seva dal. Talks were arranged for Sai Youth in Sri Sai Krishen Kalyan Mantap. Shri B.N. Narasimha Murthy, warden, Sri Sathya Sai Hostel, Sri Sanjay sahani, Principal, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Shri.U. Gangadhar Bhat, Chairman, Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions and Smt. Geeta Mohanram from USA. delivered talks to Sai Youth.

Afternoon session started with bhajans by sai youth on arrival of Bhagawan Baba. This was followed by two music programmes. First was "Tal Vadya Kacheri" by Shri Arjun Kumar and party followed by instrumental fusion music by Shri Muthu and Party.

Bhagawan Baba expressed His immense happiness and spoke for few minutes. He appreciated the drama by Medical students and again had a group photo with them. He appreciated the sai youth arranging such a drama and music programmes. He created a Navaratna necklace to Shri. Vinay Kumar, member State Youth Co-ordination Committee.
Swamy also appreciated and expressed His happiness about Karnataka State holding such a big function in an orderly manner. Programme concluded with blessings of Baba and mahamangalarathi.

On 29th Morning, State President introduced all the District Youth Convenors to Swami. Bhagawan Baba blessed them, gave them vibhuti. They all had darshan, sparshan and sambhashan as also a group photograph with Bhagawan Baba.

  1. Nagarasankeerthana was conducted involving local villages youth participated
  2. Bhajan Training camp was conducted about 50 members were trained by smt Vimala Shyam. Youths Participated.
  3. Veterinary Camp was conducted and the local villages activity Participated. Vaccinations were given for the following Animals

    3. Sheep - 130 nos
    4. Goats - 80 nos
