1. PREM JYOTI EXHIBITION (15-10-07 to 25-10-07)

It was the ,most prestigious activity when the Sai youth of Indore got a chance to hold Prem Jyoti Exhibition.The Exhibition material came directly from Chennai to Indore on 10th oct 07. Earlier 6 youths had gone to Chennai for seeing the display & transportation.
  1. Indore was capital of Holkars who ruled this state during the British times. Situated on the western part of Madhya Pradesh it is considered a business & Industrial capital of the Sate. The sacred river Narmada flows on the South eastern side at a distance of hardly 60 km. The city is, flanked on either side by two of the 12 Jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar at Ujjain & Omkareshwar both at distance of 65 kms.

  2. The exhibition was set up in the premises of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar Indore. This School had an Indoor Stadium of 6000 sq.ft, which was further extended by another 6000 sq.ft of a strongly built enclosure admeasuring about 105' X 60', constructed with 60' wide steel tresses and covered with tin sheets. The interior of the enclosure was done up in white, with a red carpet on the flooring.

    The exhibition was all set up and ready by 14.10.07, and various seva dal members were given a proper training on the exhibits put on display. 69

  3. On 15.10.07, the exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency Governor of M P, Hon'able Dr. Balram Jakhar. Shri Ved Pratap Vedik an eminent journalist of international repute was invited as a Special guest. The exhibition was inaugurated at 5 PM amidst the Veda Chanting by the School Children of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Indore.

    The Exhibition is divided in to seven segments viz Premjyoti, Hospitals, Water projects, Education, Service, Glory and Protection. There were in all 175 panels of beautiful Photographs and 8 bakelite Glow sign boards. Each panel had a write up in English & Hindi. At the end of each segment a DVD was being played on LCD showing a Live demo like interviews of Patients at the end of hospital segment.Certain Panels had no captions, because photos displayed spoke itself At the end of Exhibition a Video show was organized where films of Swami were shown . Before the exit point comment dairies were kept for the visitors to record their observations. Each visitor was given a Swami's colour Photo pocket calender, Vibhuti prasadam & students of various Schools were given ladoo Prasadam also. There was a special arrangement of wheel chairs in which senior citizens and other handicapped were taken around. Drinking water arrangement was also made at various points. A book stall displaying Swami's Literature was also put up . A special booth was put up for the visitors to listen & subscribe to Radio Sai Global Harmony. A free E-mail service by name Sai Inspires was extended to all visitors; through this the visitors will be sent a thought for the day at their Email ID.

    Number of vistors visted was about 18000. 18 buses of the school were pressed in to service to transport students of other schools. Students of 53 local School visited the Exhibition. Persons from out stations also came. The Exhibition was visited by Doctors, Engineers Chartered Accountants, Professional Managers, Journalists. The dignatories who visited the Exhibition included Education Minister of M P, Mayor of Indore, MLA form Indore,Eminent Social workers, senior IAS officers; Chairman Indore Development Authority Indore, spiritual leaders like sharda Math & head of Bahai faith Indore.

  4. The display of Exhibition at Indore was Bhagwan's Prasad to the State. If it has to be summed up in one go it can be said that each and every heart had felt touched, who so ever had seen it. It was observed that people who had come just as passer byes, were found in tears after having seen it There were many who expressed that we did not know Swami has done so much for humanity. A correspondent of local afternoon daily "Agniban" after seeing the exhibition had written a complete page in the said paper. After the publication of article, on phone jokingly he asked for a remuneration, "A visit to Prasanthi Nilayam and Darshan of Swami" And such was a request & demand of many of the visitors showing their intense desire to have darshan of our beloved Swami.

  5. On 25.10.07 the exhibition was closed to public at 10Pm. Maha mangal Aarthi was offered to Bhagwan by the State resident Shri S K Sachdeva on behalf of all the devotees.

    All the devotees and seva dal members had tears in theirs eyes when the closing ceremony took place. These were tears of thankfulness and gratitude towards Swami as the exhibition gave a chance to all devotees to render selfless seva and also become witnesses to change in people's thought process, as they viewed the seva activities and glory of SAI.

    More than 100 Sai youth worked day a night for full 15 days to make it a most successful Event of the year 2007.

2. VISIT OF DESTITUTE CHILDREN TO PRASANTHINILAYAM
The destitute children of Nitya Seva Kendra Bhopal were taken to Prasanthinilayam in July for Swami Darshan.On return they had given a heart rendering description of experience of SAI LOVE:

One girl writes, Many a people called me ugly (Manhoos) I felt bad, I cried, But the day I saw Swami in Puttaparthy I felt, I am very lucky. I saw 'Karuna" in Swami's eyes. Swami is my mother". Another girl writes,"I have a mother and a father yet, have never experienced their love!? Once, while singing Bhajans I thought of a mother's love and soon my Bal Vikas teacher gave me immence love. After having seen Baba I feel I am transformed, I am free of my past sins, Thank you Baba for calling me!.

Yet another girl confesses that she was never interested in the Bhajans. But the day she saw Bhajans in Puttaparthy she felt an inner urge to pray to Baba thus "Take away my past and quarreling habits and fill me with virtues" I feel, I am a changed person now. Now I sing Bhajans with devotion. I have a feeling that OM SAI RAM BABA is a Jagat Sai Mata

3. VISIT OF SAI YOUTH TO PRASHANTHI NILAYAM ( 17-21 DEC.07)
As per roaster issued at All India level, our state was allotted period of 17-21 Dec.07 for Parti yatra, Out of 3525 registered youth in the State 2353 Gents & 472 ladies 1051 youth (748 Gents & 303 Ladies) including all the 12 youth coordinators of state reached Prasanthi Nilayam on 16th. The youth were divided in 5 groups viz Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema & Ahimsa. All the five days, apart from daily darshan, they attended the talks in evening, visit to chaitanya Jyoti & other important places as well as did Shramdan as per directions of Prasanthi Nilayam Authorities. 56 Sai Youth donated blood in Super Speciality Hospital.

20th Dec.07 was a red letter day, when Swami out of Love & compassion permitted the Sai youth to present a musical dance & drama on Manav Seva Madhav Seva" in the evening. One of the Participats Shri Manish Kori was given a ring by Bhagwan. After the Drama a Sai Youth Singer Shri Gautam Kale, a disciple of Pandit Jasrajji Sang 3 bhajan . He was also blessed with a ring by Bhagwan. Permission for Prasadam, which the youth had carried all the way from Indore, was granted, which was distributed on 20th evening.

The youth highly motivated & with blessings of Bhagwan left for their homward Journey on 21st night.


OTHER SAI YOUTH ACTIVITIES IN THE STATE.
MADHYA PRADESH - GADARWARA
  • Sai Youth cleared all the public water tanks in Sept 07 by chlorination & bleaching powder.
  • Medical camp in adopted village Pipra where 104 patients were examined.
  • July to Dec. every month mass Narayan seva done in 4 selected villages to 750 persons.
  • Amrit kalash - Food grains distributed to 26 families on 12th July- 20kg wheat, 10 kg Rice 1 Kg Sugar, 1 litre edible oil, 2 kg salt, 250grms spices , 1 Packet Match Box, Needle, Thread & Buttons.
  • Free coaching classes started from 17th Nov.07 for classes 10th &11th. This activity is being done for the last 14 years.
  • Sadhana camp held on 9 Dec.07 at District level 216 Gents & 70 ladies in all 286 persons attended.
GOHAD DISTRICT BHIND
A medical camp was arranged on 8th July 08. Three Specialist Doctors and one lady Doctor of a Prestigious Hospital at Gwalior Maheshwari Nursing Home had offered their services. 360 patients & 50 lady patients were examined and given treatment. For lady patients. Blood test & Blood Sugar test were also conducted.

HOSHANGABAD
Children of a School for handicapped taken for a picnic on Global handicapped day 15-7-06. Children also took part in sport competition. They were given prizes & vibhooti.

MHOW
Mass Narayan Seva on 1/12/07 held .350/- Narayan served.
Dart & copies of sacred book Gurugranth sahib presented to 5 Sikh Gurudwras on Gurunanak Jayanti 20 School going children given School bags. 15 students given books & copies

PIPARIA
Film on Swami shown in village Dhanashir on 31st Dec. 07- In the morning Laksharchna & Bhajan done.

REWA
Reconstruction of a depleted temple was done in village Jori 5 Bathrooms for ladies also constructed near the hand pump installed at Govt.Level.

SARNI
Daily dressing done on 33 persons who were residing in slum area & suffered from boils on body.
  • Plantation of 10 Mango trees near Kali Mata mandir
  • Id greeting to Muslim Brother on 14/10/07 in the Masjid.
  • 5 poor families were given cloths, saries & 5 kg foodgrains each.
THATIPUR GWALIOR
  • ON 18/8/07, 18 Girl students of Village Singarpur given cloths and salwar. Kurta.
  • 50 Saries distributed on 6/11/07.
  • 50 quilts & 50 Blankets distributed in Dec.in Village Singarpur.
VINDHYANAGAR
  • 31 pregnant ladies of adopted village examined by lady Doctors & were given Medicines.
  • Veterinary camp held at Singroli - 380 animals treated
  • 350 Mosquito Nets distributed in adopted village.
CHHATISGARH
Bilaspur
  • For the firth year in a row, youth members carried out Blanket Distribution in the city.

  • Drinking water facility was extended by digging hand pump bore well in Urraiyapara village on 27th July 2007. This was inaugurated by State President. Sri Sathya Sai Seva org. M P & C G .

  • Drawing competition in Government schools was conducted on 22nd and 27th October 2007 in Bilaspur city. School teachers and children participated enthusiastically and there was very good response. Prizes and Certificates were given to all winners.

  • 3 slum children were given 2 months training in Beauty Parlor course so that they can contribute for their family lively hood.

  • A practical demonstration and training was arranged in Gram Urraiyapara in candle and agarbathi making in the month of October 2007.

  • As a part of the slum development programme at Mamabacha Talab, free coaching classes in maths are being conducted regularly. By the grace of Bhagavan in 80 percent of the children, there has been positive development in their standard

  • Free Homeopathic treatment at Old Age Home for last 4 years is being conducted twice in a month.

  • Gram Sabha was conducted at village Urraiyapara on 9th December 2007 between 3.00pm to 5.00pm Shri Parthasarathi, Rtd professor gave an inspiring talk in Chattisgarh language. All villagers were thrilled to know the experience of Bhagawan Baba. 9 Annapurna Kalasham were distributed to old and sick persons who have no source of income for their livelihood. Near about 200 saries were distributed to all villagers.

    CHAMPA 1. Veterinary camp held at adopted villages Ghutia. 337 animals given injections.
    • Medical camp held at village Ghutia, 539 patients from 7 villages were given medicines & treatment. 10 Saries, 3 pants, 7 Kurta Pajama. 6 Shirts, 8 Balankets & 5 Sweaters distributors.
    • Muslim Brothers greeted on ID day 14th Oct.07 .
    • On Swami's Birthday, Children suits 50, Blankets 100, Saries, 82 other clothes worth Rs 30000/- distributed to the poor & needy.
    DHAMTRI
    A SHOBHA YATRA rally of 1000 persons was held on 23rd Nov 07. It traversd a distance of 4 km & took about 3 hrs.

    RAIPUR
    As a part of sarva Dharam Sambhava, the Samithi members participated in the following activities.
    (i) Jhoolelal Jayanti
    (ii) Mahaveer Jayanti
    (iii) ID
    (iv) Gurunanak Jayanti
    (v) Christmas

    During Id festival a stall was arranged outside the mass prayer ground & 500 cups of Sawai was kept ready which was served when the Muslim brothers moved out after Namaz and were offered heartiest felicitations. 10 Muslim Brother who had returned from haj were garlanded which was highly appreciated by them. They were seen commenting that it is for the first time in their life that a Hindu organisation has come to offer ID greetings.

    During Guru Nanak Jayanti the seva dal participated in Langar seva after offering salutations at Guru Granth saheb in a single profile wearing scarf & Badges. After 2 hours of serving langer, the sikh brothers served food to 48 seva Dal who had participated in this seva. SAI CENTRE AT VILLAGE CHAMPARAN(Raipur)

    There are 10 sewing machines at this center where 42 Village girls & ladies are being trained. 9 Village boys have secured learning licenses who are being trained in tractor driving. Two computers have also been installed and village boys & girls are being taught computer basics.
